I am dedicated to understanding and supporting individuals of underserved populations. My work in Haiti helped me to better understand the problems and advantages of education within developing countries. My fascination with education as a social justice endeavor will continue my pursuit of understanding the needs, advantages, barriers, and challenges of music education for underserved populations. I believe that music is an essential part of what makes us human and therefore, every human should have access to an education that fully addresses the understanding of and engagement with human experience.
