Vision Statement:
The Elizabethtown College Student Chapter of ASME fosters professional development opportunities for our students and promotes the role of mechanical engineers in living out our college and school mottos: Educate for Service and Engineer for Society.
For 2024-25, we plan to live out this vision through cycling as a vehicle for celebrating mechanical engineering. We will again showcase our bicycle-powered ice cream maker at Homecoming. We will also sponsor a couple of organized bicycle rides from campus and begin to set up a small bicycle repair shop on campus. Human-powered transportation promotes personal wellness and reduces carbon emissions for a healthier planet.
